The Belgians record this species as glabrifrons and the Ashmoles state that there is only one species on the island which they call fenestralis (Peaks report, p. 95): it is unlikely that the species has died out and been replaced in this period and a recent key determines fresh specimens as glabrifrons so this will be retained in the meantime until the identity of the species is confirmed with certainty.(DJP). Two websites http://insectoid.info/checklist/scenopinidae/saint_helena,_ascension_an… and http://www.catalogueoflife.org/col/details/species/id/e46c208f34ecb047c… record the only species on St Helena as Scenopinus schulzei (Enderlein, 1943) with no indication where this comes from. I can find no indication that S schulzei and S glabrifrons are synonyms. S. schulzei is not in Kelsey 1969 which I believe DJP used to check the identity of D glabrifrons. It is therefore unclear which species actually occurs on St Helena.
