Other notes
An unidentified species (possibly Amphixystis siccata from the Mascarene and Seychelle islands in the Indian Ocean or a very similar species) has recently been found to be widespread in many areas at intermediate altitudes. It has been reared from frass tunnels on twigs of old Gumwood, and as there are no earlier observations it must be assumed to be a recent introduction. The radiation of Amphixistis species complexes in the Indian Ocean parallel those of Opogona on St Helena.
