Naudé (1926) p. 19; Linnavuori & Quartau (1975), p. 26; first found on St Helena rosemary and possibly also Redwood at ANRD, Scotland, during invertebrate identification training; later found on the herb Rosemary at Mount Pleasant; checked against specimens at the Natural History Museum in London; could potentially also be Iassomorphus cederanus (Naudé, 1926) but appears closer to drakensteini; only females have been found so either finding a male or DNA work is required to confirm the ID for certain; cederanus is reported from Kwazulu-Natal and drakensteini from the Western Cape, strengthening the case for it being this species (insectoid.info website, accessed 26/02/2017).
