The highest densities of Cx. quinquefasciatus were at three locations on Providenciales: Heavind down ferry, Downtown and Shoreclub. The species utilises a wide range of aquatic habitats at the larval stage, which explains why it can be found at high densities in both urban and rural sites. Aquatic habitats include containers utilised by Ae. aegypti, as well as septic tanks, drains, and naturally occurring habitats such as ditches, ponds and flooded areas.
